This illustration was created with the intention of it being within a journal article. Its goal is to teach the reader how a natural killer cell within the blood recognizes potential threatening cells and destroys them. I included a background environment for the natural killer cell to definitively place them in the blood and to interest the viewer.

For this project, we were tasked with creating an illustration for print demonstrating the process of angiogenesis, the formation of new blood capillaries.  We were given examples of angiogensis illustrations in various journal articles and our job was to create an illustration that better showed the process. We then had to create an accompanying animation as well.

I was tasked with creating an illustration and short animation depicting how to complete a physical therapy exercise. The exercise I chose was glute bridges. The goal was to use linework to represent canonical form and to create both a color and black and white version.

I created this illustration as an illustration intended to be for an editorial articles titled Blood Cell Lineup. Since it was for an editorial setting I added cartoonish elements to the blood cells and used the scene as well as colors to try to draw the viewer in.

I created this animation with the intention that it would teach college level anatomy students how a muscle contracts on a cellular level. It was my first animation completed on After Effects and so I learned a lot throughout this process.

This project was to create a set of three pocket monster cards. My three cards are an evolution of the same monster. I wanted to show relations between the evolutions while also making them unique. I also designed the card layout and text from scratch within Illustrator.

As part of exploring and learning about character design, I was tasked with creating a full turnaround of our own character and placing them in an environment. I created Lymph-Man as a fun but educational superhero who fights diseases with his lymph webs.

I designed a logo for an acappella group with the name Sargam. They were a new group and I wanted to give them a sleek modern looking logo to reflect their personality as a group.

This illustration was created to be an advertisement for the electrolyte tablet brand, Nuun. At the time I made this I was not very comfortable with Illustrator, therefore I created this in Procreate. I think if I were to do this now in Illustrator the result would be even stronger.

This piece is intended to be a movie poster for a fictional movie titled Where the Poachers Sing that is a story of the real lives of the author of the book Where the Crawdads Sing. I wanted a realistic feel while also still allowing the viewer to recognize it was an illustrated movie poster.

I have taken Drawing I and II as well as Anatomical Illustration. Throughout all of these classes I have gotten a foundational ability of drawing the human figure. I have also developed my skills in charcoal and pastel.
